Under the Patronage of H.H. Sheikh Falah bin Zayed Al Nahyan Ghantoot hosts Al Amal Polo Day to support Al Ain center for Care and Rehabilitation
Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Falah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of Ghantoot Racing & Polo Club, Ghantoot Club organizes a special Polo match, with returns forwarded as charity to support special needs patients at Al Ain center for Care and Rehabilitation.
The friendly match encounters a special performance between Ghantoot’s first team vs. Al-Khayala Al-Sultani Polo team; the match will commence on a Friday afternoon on the 19th of December as announced during a press conference held at the clubs headquarters yesterday in the presence of His Excellency Saeed Bin HofanAl-Mansouri, Vice President of Ghantoot Racing & Polo Club and Mr. Salah Al Marzouqi, Head of Sports Events of Abu Dhabi Sports Counciland Mr. Ahmed Al Nuaimi, Director General of the club, and Dr. Ahmed El Sayed Suleiman Director of Al Ain center for Care and Rehabilitation.
Al-Mansouri was quoted at the beginning of the conference sending across greetings by His Highness the Chairman of the club,His Highness Sheikh Falah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, stressing the desire of the club to organize this annual charity event since its start 20 years ago in order to spread health awareness in all its forms to the community, and through partnerships with various sectors, he believes that they’ll provide great services to the UAE society of citizens and residents.
“The clubs keenness to support Al Ain center for Care and Rehabilitation is for being a non-profit facility that offers various rehabilitation and care services for children with special needs within the country and all the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, the center is considered the largest of its kind in the region specialized inspecial treatments or rehabilitation and health care for that specific category,” he said.
He added that partof the club’s social responsibility,they seek to organize such annual community events more often,“I’d like to personally extend our regards to all of those who contributed to the success of various events we’ve held during this season, including this noble humanitarian event and we thank the Abu Dhabi Sports Council for their support and the participating teamfrom the Royal Sultanate of Oman,” Al-Mansouri said.
Mr. Ahmed Al Nuaimi, said that the charity game is all set to go this coming Friday,which adds up to ongoing technical, organizational and mass of successes experienced at the club during those couple of weeks, most notably the host tournament which took place as part of the club’s 20th Anniversary celebrations.
“A special committee was put together toorganize the charity event, withwonderful programs, which includes several activities which will witness the participation of Tadweer (The Center of Waste Management in Abu Dhabi) and Mubadala Development Companyas they’ll will run a play of Mansour a cartoon character followed by an umbrella air glider show witch will roam around the pitch.
Theevent comes through distinctive sponsorships of several bodies and institutions, companies and nationalentities, that fairlycontribute in the success of this charity event, namely Abu Dhabi Sports Council,Tadweer, IPIC Soccer Academy, and Egoist Beauty & Spa, Mansour Cartoon Character, Mega Software,and cafe De Roma.
